I am part way through a couple of projects as always. At the moment I am trying my hand at a lace pattern. It's the first time I've tried it so there are a few botches, but I have managed to disguise them. The pattern is for a shawl. I can't remember the last time I saw someone under the age of 90 wearing one however, I loved the pattern, the colour of the wool seemed to suit it and sometime the enjoyment of just knitting is what inspires me rather than a practical use for the end product. I have a couple of ideas of how I am going to use it when finished but I'll save that for a future post. Here are some 'work in progress' photos. Enjoy.

The First Post
And here it is; yet another blog about knitting. Slightly self indulgent I am sure but, why not? There won't just be knitting, I enjoy sewing and crafting and various other hobbies. By writing this blog I am hoping to share my hobbies with the online community and pay tribute to the people that inspire me.
